Isaiah 26:3 says “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”
It starts with wanting to be kept. Have you ever had to decide- I refuse to allow unfairness, sadness, unforgiveness, frustration, and anger to overtake me today? When the thoughts come (because they will come) am I entertaining it and replaying the harm in my mind? Or do I decide I want to be kept in perfect peace?
Perfect peace does not mean a perfect life. It does not mean trouble does not show up. But it does mean if I DECIDE to trust God to handle the trouble I’m not wasting time trying to control things never meant to be controlled by me, rather I will be patient and trust the God who created the universe to handle it. He knows all the details of how things will “work together for the good of those who love the Lord” I do not.
I’m deciding today to be kept. How about you?
