Day 30 of 31

I saw a movie years ago where the mother apologized to one of her grown daughters for not taking the time to give her the extra hugs and patience the daughter needed.

This mother had multiple children and saw her daughter required a different level of care and for some reason didn’t do it. The mother wanted her child to fit into a specific mold, and when she didn’t- the mother treated the daughter the way she was treated growing up- versus what the daughter needed.

That resonated with me, because Mark Dupree and I have 4 very unique and vocal children.

I pray for insight on how to love each child, specifically, that I will know how to make my kids laugh, teach them important life lessons, reward them without spoiling them, discipline them appropriately in love, and show them how to develop their own relationship with God.

In Jesus name, Amen.
